The previous emphasis of only offering programming around physical health has shifted to a more holistic approach looking at the full person. These changes include programming and resources offered in all the dimensions of wellness including Emotional, Mental, Social, Physical, and Financial.
The value proposition for wellness is also expanding. Previously, looking at economic return (ROI) and improvement of health risks were the main way to show success. Now, understanding and measuring the impact on a wider range of areas such as employee engagement, productivity, retention, and recruitment are also being included in a more comprehensive evaluation.
