Wellness Value Proposition

The Problem:

The cost of healthcare is rising at a staggering rate and the higher cost negatively impacts organizations and their employees.  Analysis demonstrates that a significant portion of the increased cost is attributable to unhealthy lifestyle behaviors that lead to preventable chronic diseases.  It is estimated that preventable chronic disease resulting from unhealthy lifestyle choices accounts for almost 66% of the increased cost of healthcare.

The Solution:

Comprehensive wellness programs assist employees in changing unhealthy behaviors benefiting both the organization's and its employees.  In a scientific review of the financial impact of worksite health promotion programs, 18 studies indicated that these programs reduce medical costs, and 14 studies indicated that they reduced absenteeism costs.  Additionally 13 studies calculated an average benefit/cost ratio of $3.48 per dollar spent in medical cost and a $5.82 savings per dollar on absenteeism.  The undeniable conclusion is that when designed and implemented properly, wellness programs positively impact both the health of an organizations bottom line and its employees.

The evidence above is clear, a comprehensive wellness program is no longer a luxury, but rather a necessity if you want to control healthcare costs and remain competitive.  For this reason, FABOH provides each member company with the education, tools, resources, funding, and support necessary to implement a comprehensive wellness program at their worksite.  For more information on how to take advantage of the FABOH Wellness Program, please contact Jeff Butz at 920-924-3780 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
